Job Details:

  • Pay: up to $26 per hour DOE

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Reliable transportation, driver's license, working cell phone and valid car insurance.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to pass a background check & complete application for Certified Behavior Technician license.
  • Successful completion of 40 hour training within 2 weeks of employment (stipend upon completion).
  • CPR (required within 30 days of hire).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children in school, home or community settings.
  • Experience with & understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Experience working with children with special needs.
  • 2 or 4 year degree in Education, Psychology, or related field.
  • Candidates who hold a current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential or Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) will be given first consideration.

Job Duties:

  • Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group formats
  • Utilize a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements in home, clinic, and community settings.
  • Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
  • Follow and record data for prescribed training protocols.
  • Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
  • Utilize safe & appropriate procedures when working with clients.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
  • Lift or move up to 50lb.
  • Sit, stand and move with children to maintain effective programming and implement safety procedures as directed by the BCBA, described in client programs or to prevent imminent harm.
  • Maintain client confidentiality.
  • Collaborate professionally with the treatment team including client, parents and caregivers, outside professionals, Lead Behavioral Technician, Behavior Analyst and co-workers.
  • Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with client’s individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols.
  • Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
  • Assist Lead Behavioral Technician, and Behavior Analysts with skill acquisition and behavior reduction assessments.
  • Assist Lead Behavioral Technician and Behavior Analysts in preparing client materials as instructed.
  • Assume Lead Behavioral Technician responsibilities in their absence.
  • Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required trainings.
  • Maintain reliable transportation, drivers license and auto insurance in good standing and provide documentation of such to employer when requested.
